Pamela graduated from Messiah College in 1986 with a B.S. Degree in Education. There, she met her husband, Richard. She began her teaching career and continued her graduate work at UVA, where she worked as a Student Teacher Mentor. In 2000, the Sperbeck family moved to Midlothian, and Pamela began home educating her children. She has written articles for The Village Mill (a local community newspaper) as well as devotionals and articles for various Christian publications. She has also written short stories, plays, and youth programs, and is presently working on a novel. Pamela has served as Youth Minister at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Powhatan, and currently facilitates the Confirmation program, sings in the church choir, and is a member of Judes Ferry Band. Above all, Pamela loves her Heavenly Father and desires to serve Him, and the students and families of Southside with gladness!
