Course Description: Join us on an amazing adventure back through time starting with the Tower of Babel to the Egyptian Dynasties including King Tut, Queen Hatshepsut, the Greek Empire to the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. Class projects include Egyptian mummies, Greek and Roman lap books, and Roman mosaics. We will investigate theories to help us understand the actions, the mysteries, and the interpretations of history, along with studying the connections between people and places. We will explore stories from societies and cultures that still shape the lives of people in the world today. Our studies will start with the Ancient World, moving through the Classical World and the Early Middle Ages. Old World Geography will be part of this course, with emphasis placed on maps of kingdoms and empires throughout time.
