Prerequisite: Algebra I
Course Description: This Geometry course includes an in-depth analysis of plane, solid, and coordinate geometry as they relate to both abstract mathematical concepts as well as real-world problem situations. Topics include geometry basics, logic and proof, parallel and perpendicular lines, congruent triangles, relationships in triangles, similarity, polygons and quadrilaterals, right triangle trigonometry, area and perimeter, volume and surface area, transformations, and circles. Emphasis will be placed on developing critical thinking skills as they relate to logical reasoning and argument.
